You can't really understand jQuery util you understand CSS Selectors

In jQury, CSS selector code begins with the main jQuery object $. It's just a function name, and it takes a paremeter - the CSS Selector.

In CSS Selectors, the ID Selector and the class Selector are the two main Selectors.

Selectors work in the same way as regular CSS Selectors we meet in typical style.css file.
